conversation with my mexican neighbors thru the fence last weekend:

son: hey nate, is your truck on a commercial?
me: yeah, for offroad gathering!
son: cool!!
me: you guys should come for sure, gonna be a fun day!
son: yeah we'll try
mom: WTF cracker?? you too good to come over and have a drink with us now that yer on tv n shit!!?
me: Gina, yer drunk. i'll be over in a few.

UGH. What an experience. We went today, and waited in a line bumper to bumper for an hour, then a few assholes decided that it would be just fine to come up the wrong side of the road, passing everyone who was waiting patiently in line, that was ok, we figured they were people that were part of the event, then about 100 other assholes decided to do the same thing, and before you knew it, BOTH sides of the road were tied up with a constant non moving stream of people trying to get in the gate. In some cases, people were even trying to take cuts in front of the cutters! Now it took 3 times as long for us to get up to the gate since these assholes went around everyone, creating a big SNAFU at the gate. What did the people running the gate do? Surely not the "Right thing" which would have been to tell the douchebags to Turn around and go to the back of the line like everyone else, no, they LET THEM IN!
We got up to the gate, and stupid me, I thought it was going to be like $20 for entry for the VEHICLE, but they hit me with $45.00 (me, one passenger, and Parking) and I said **** that and left, I was so pissed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it was an awesome event!
I was just frustrated by the time we got up there, as were a lot of people who had waited patiently in line for over an hour, only to have tons of people go around the line, and rather than be turned back, they were let in.

I ended up having to go out there and take care of it instead of the track..sorry we didn't know about it sooner
