There's a lot of info out there (however, results are mixed) on "O2 simulators" - it may be worth a little bit of time to see if any of the cheap / easy solutions might work for you.

I havent heard any negative about it from my research yet, i found it for $83 shipped to me. How hard is it to make a 2.5" inlet marry up to my stock 2.25" exhaust pipe??? And are there any REAL benefits you actually get out of the 4.0 by increasing the diameter by 1/4 inch??? My Jeep is not mobile so i have to install in my garage. Or should i just get the 2.25" muffler???
Just another cookie cutter TJ on 35's meh...

The extra 1/4" works out to be almost 1" of area (.9326 to be exact). How much of a difference that makes with the 4.0, who knows? It might even hurt low end torque with the lower velocity.

I remember buying the reducers at Pep Boys years ago, I would imagine you can still get them somewhere fairly easy.
