    Default Steering Box Help

I've heard that the TJ steering gearboxes are directly interchangable with ones from Dodge Durangos. Anyone know what year, and if this is an upgrade or not so good? Mine is leaking, not bad yet but I want options before I have to fix it. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Its the years that they were based on the Dakota. It is an upgrade. I think certain Chevy S-10 years work as well.

Jeeps-Offroad.com: Durango -> TJ Power-Steering Box Swap Tech Article http://jeepin.net/forum/showthread.php?t=21773 Some info that may help. I did this swap on my YJ and it was a major upgrade IMO.

Cool man well I gotta wait til I have money to get a new one, and I just today discovered that the bushing on the pinon arm for my steering is dry rotted and busted.
