Been busy this week at work so the week went by real fast. This weekend the honey do list took over.
Project 1: Move dryer out of my garage. Status: Completed
We recently redid our family room with new cabinets, sheet rock, tile floor, and a laundry closet. Due to some unforeseen events, It took a little longer to get the wiring done for the dryer. the main reason was so i could leave a 220 plug in the garage. Today, it was accomplished. The dryer has a new home in the laundry closet, and Lori is happy she doesn't have to go into the cold garage to fluff up the clothes.
Project 2: Change out upstairs smoke detector. Status: Completed.
This was the easiest of the projects. but when you have to search the panel box for the correct breaker to turn off, It can be a pain in the rear. The previous owner failed to properly label the panel. A benefit of getting this done today is a labeled breaker box.
Project 3: Clear the back deck for demolition. Status: Completed
Starting tomorrow, we will be starting the renovation of the backyard. new concrete sitting areas and a new back porch for the summer flings. I can't wait for this, some of the plans is for a new hot tub, Kiva fire place and a zen sitting area.
Project 4: Give Joe a hair cut. Status: Completed
As some of you know, Joe has been going to Bataan Military Academy. I get the pleasure of giving him his military hair cuts. the last cut i just buzzed everything off, this time i was nice and just trimmed it up. I will post a pic of this tomorrow.
All in all, it was a great weekend. i only had one incident, okay really two. when you work on a hard wired smoke detector, make sure the power is off, and always make sure your work area is clear so you don't slam your thumb on the rafters while working on the wiring.
